Firewall

I didn't just want to carve a large hole in the firewall, I wanted it to look like it was made for the Buick motor.
I also wanted to save as much of the stock model A firewall, I really like the pressing.

 

So I cut out a profile that followed the shape of the engine.

 

Using mandrel bent tubing, I then made the radius for the indentation.

 

 

Tacked it together...

 

...and test fit.

 

I didn't loose any leg room to speak of.

 

more test fitting...

 

After welding and hours of grinding !

 

All done !
