Still Out There, part 2

1964 Impala SS sitting by the road, looking for a new owner...Faded paint lured me in, thinking it was original, but with 2 inch thick! rear wheel wells (bondo) I think this on is for somebody else. Would make a nice cruiser, though.

A few blocks from my home sits these early Dodge products, and an un-known Cadillac !! pick-up.

I have walked by this truck for about 7 years. I finally saw the owner of the building next to it and asked him:

Is it your truck? Yep...Is it for sale?...Nope, I'm gonna fix it up! So it goes...

This 1957 DeSoto was sporting a 4X4 chassis. I can assure you it does not have a Napco conversion! I am not sure if I would keep it this way, but wagons are in, so maybe this grocery hauler can be restored to it's original stance, and once again bring home the milk in style.

Two for one special?...A classic flatbed truck sporting a late 30's Plymouth on it's bed.

How about a classic tear drop trailer? Looks like the building behind was built about the same time.

1946 Ford and 1953 Chev trucks

A tired looking 1966 LeMans are waiting for better times. Maybe a Pro-touring? 18 inch wheels, big block and disc brakes...Or just a nice stock car...?

A rust-free 1958 Chevrolet 4X4 is sitting behind a commercial building in Eastern Washington. Chevrolet didn't make their own 4X4 chassis until mid sixties. This truck is most likely equipped with the Napco "Mountain Goat" conversion. The conversion was either done by Napco plant or a dealer. Judging by the remove trim, somebody started working on this one. It would make a cool truck all fixed up.

A 1956 Chevrolet is sitting next to "bath tub" Nash. Both very restorable....

Somehow these classics looks great in their "natural" environment, even thought you know that the grass growing up thought the floor board are not good for the metal. My best method of spotting these jewels are on my motorcycle, since it offers a much better peripheral view than in a car. An other excellent "vintage-tin-spotter" is of course a convertible, with the top down.

1966 Lincoln with famous suicide doors

1948? Cadillac with missing eyes waiting for better times

PLEASE NOTE:

We do NOT know where any of these cars are today, don't e-mail us and ask where they are, WE DON'T KNOW !

If we did, they would be in the Editor's garage !
